Deal Allowed Astro Aerospace To Sell 100% of Horizon Aircraft Equity

Horizon Aircraft, an eVTOL aircraft developer, has been sold by Astro Aerospace after its acquisition in June in 2021. The deal saw the transfer of Horizon over to a group of Astro shareholders in a move that CEO Brandon Robinson says will “allow Horizon Aircraft to accelerate development of our eVTOL in the private sector with access to more flexible funding mechanisms”.

The match was a natural one, leveraging Steadicopter's Black Eagle rotary wing UAV along with Viking's expertise in durable, secure container systems. The end result will see the Black Eagle 50 E equipped with a multi-function payload container capable of delivering dangerous goods from one destination to another with minimal concern.

Rise Aviation of Sherman, Texas opened its new FBO terminal earlier this month, capping off the 1st of 3 phases in their expansion plans at North Texas Regional Airport. The multimillion-dollar facility, located east of the airport's main 8,000 foot main runway (17 left/ 35 right) is open to the flying public, conveniently located midfield adjacent to 25 acres of ramp space. The new facility includes multiple seating zones and amenities for pilots and passengers alike, allowing Rise to cater to arrivals no matter their mission.
