VHA Developing New H125/AS350 Tail Rotor Assemblies

VHA Engineers Expect An Increase In Performance And Decrease In Overall Noise Signature

Composite aftermarket rotor blade manufacturer Van Horn Aviation completed a ground run of its newly-developed tail rotor assembly for the Airbus Helicopters H125, previously known as the AS350. The new system features two individually-replaceable composite tail rotor blades attached to a VHA-designed titanium hub using self-lubricating spherical bearings. Since VHA’s H125/AS350 tail rotor blades use the same NASA-designed laminar airfoil as the company’s popular 206 series tail rotor blades, VHA engineers expect a similar increase in performance and decrease in overall noise signature compared to OEM blades.

IADA Scholarships Open Till September 1st

Available To Full-Time, Undergraduate (Freshman Through Senior) Students

The International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) is accepting applications directly from business aviation students for scholarships through Sept. 1. Grants funded by the IADA Foundation will range from $1,000 to $5,000. The IADA Foundation, a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) public charitable organization, has arranged with 20 participating colleges and universities to offer individual scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students seeking further education leading to professions within business aviation.
