AD: International Aero Engines AG Turbofan Engines

AD 2021-11-51 Requires A USI Of Affected HPT 1st-Stage Disks And HPT 2nd-Stage Disks

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain International Aero Engines AG (IAE) V2522-A5, V2524-A5, V2527-A5, V2527E-A5, V2527M-A5, V2530-A5, and V2533-A5 model turbofan engines. Aero-News: Quote of the Day (07.05.21)

"DPEs are vital to the overall Airman Certification process and these recommendations represent reform that will enable the current cadre of DPEs to continue to provide both expertise and a level of safety assurance for GA. The work done in developing these recommendations represent not only improvements to current state aspects but also future long term development of the resource as a whole. The FAA, aviation community stakeholders, and the public have a compelling interest in a DPE community that provide an accurate and meaningful assessment of an applicant’s fitness to operate safely in the National Airspace System." Source: From a report by the DPE Reform Working Group, which is chaired by EAA -- whom recently submitted a r
