Mission Aviation Fellowship Begins COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery In Rural Lesotho

One of Aviation's Greatest Organizations Steps Up -- Again

Humanitarian organization Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is delivering COVID-19 vaccines in the land-locked country of Lesotho to help combat the spread of the deadly virus. Lesotho’s mountainous terrain makes interior land travel difficult and MAF is acting as a last-leg carrier to ensure the vaccines stay at the appropriate temperature before being administered. This past week, about 140 workers in Lebakeng and 60 in Kubunyane were vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine, which has been used exclusively in Lesotho.

He Smelled “Electrical Fumes” And Noted Smoke In The Cockpit

On March 2, 2021, about 0747 eastern standard time, a Cessna P210N, N4629K, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Johnstown, New York. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that about 30 minutes after climbing to 10,000 ft msl after his departure from Burlington International Airport, Burlington (BTV), Vermont, he started hearing “an unfamiliar buzzing or humming noise” that became increasingly louder.
