uAvionix has opened a "Trade-Up to tailBeaconX" program for those aircraft owners looking to upgrade their plane to a Space-Based Mode S 1090ES ADS-B Transponder. With compliance issues looming for those who haven't yet made the jump to newer equipment, the offering is a chance to square things away and operate in 1090 MHz airspace. The limited time deal will allow owners of a uAvionix skyBeacon, tailBeacon, or echoUAT to obtain a $1200 credit towards a TSO certified tailBeaconX ADS-B Transponder.

A new entry in the EFIS arena for the Light Sport, Experimental/Amateur Built and Ultralight segment of aviation is the Glance EFIS, which was on display at Sebring in January.
