One Life Lost in East Hampton Seamax M-22 Accident

An accident described by witnesses as the in-flight breakup of a Seamax M-22 has claimed the life of 57-year-old Kent I. Feuerring of Sagaponack, New York. Mr. Feuerring was an advertising executive, the president of the East Hampton Aviation Association, a highly-experienced aviator, and a skilled aerobatic pilot.

Updated: EPA Proposes 'Endangerment Finding' for Lead Emissions from Piston A/C

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), on Friday, 7 October 2022, proposed to declare emissions from piston-engine aircraft operating on leaded fuel a danger to public health. The EPA further stated that if its proposed endangerment finding were to be finalized, the agency would subsequently propose regulatory standards for lead emissions from aircraft engines.

Bombardier has donated a Global 7500 business jet to Toronto’s Centennial College—the oldest publicly-funded college in Ontario and one of Canada’s top-ten collegiate research institutions. The Global is the second aircraft with which the Canadian aerospace titan has gifted the college in the last year. In recognition of Bombardier’s generous and recurring support, Centennial College’s Centre for Aerospace and Aviation at Downsview Park will be renamed The Bombardier Centre for Aerospace and Aviation.

Estimated (EST) When used in NOTAMs “EST” is a contraction that is used by the issuing authority only when the condition is expected to return to service prior to the expiration time. Using “EST” lets the user know that this NOTAM has the possibility of returning to service earlier than the expiration time. Any NOTAM which includes an “EST” will be auto-expired at the designated expiration time.
