Two-Stroke And Four-Stroke Confabs Coming Up

California Power Systems will host a Rotax Repair Station Qualifier Seminar December 9-11 2004 at our San Leandro, California facility. The two and a half day course will be taught by Rotax factory trained Technician, Eric Tucker. The course covers all aspects of Rotax two-cycle repair and maintenance. Subjects covered include:

  • Rotax history and development in the aircraft engine market.
  • In depth discussions on two stroke engine theory and design.
  • Rotax engine designations and identification
  • Bing Carburetion theory and maintenance on Rotax
  • Ducati ignition systems theory and maintenance.
  • Gearbox selection, maintenance, and theory.

Students will also participate in a complete engine rebuild, both air-cooled and liquid cooled, disassembly and discuss correct procedures and maintenance for the 2 stroke series.

Participates will be supplied all printed material including all Rotax Parts, Service, and Service Bulletin Manuals. While the seminar is open to anyone, this 20-hour course can qualify companies to be eligible for Rotax Repair Station status. Protected areas are still available for qualified Rotax Repair Stations in the states of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and California. Contact CPS for more information on this Rotax sponsored business partner arrangement.

Those who want to qualify for Rotax Repair Station status will be given priority booking. These individuals will be able to register before October 10, 2004. After October 10th registration will be open to the general public. Class size is strictly limited. Registration must be guaranteed with a credit card number. Credit cards will be pre-approved but not be charged until all seats are filled.
