Braathens Regional Airlines Starts Fleet Management With ATR

Global Maintenance Agreement Covers All ATR -600s In The Carrier's Fleet

The Swedish regional airline Braathens Regional Airlines, BRA, started the implementation of its new ATR Global Maintenance Agreement on first of January, following the signature of this milestone agreement with ATR in June 2018 that further strengthens the strong relationship between the two companies. Covering Braathens Regional Airlines entire ATR fleet of ten ATR 72-600s, this customized full-service package covers repair, overhaul, pooling services of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and transportation of LRUs to the airline’s facilities. The contract is for a period of five years.

After the commissioning of the GMA for the Braathens Regional Airlines ATR fleet, Christian Clemens, CEO of Braathens Regional Airlines, said “With a large fleet of ATRs, we must be able to benefit from the most suitable services, with responsiveness and efficiency, in order to best operate our aircraft. The launch of this Global Maintenance Agreement signed with ATR is one step further in the bonds of trust that unite us.”

"Braathens Regional Airlines is one of our most important European operators who are keen to keep innovating with us. We are pleased with the launch of this GMA, which demonstrates not only the confidence in the quality and efficiency of our products, but also that of our services," said Tom Anderson, Senior Vice-President, Programs and Customer Service at ATR. "Braathens transports more than one-third of passengers on domestic flights in Sweden, and operates 26 routes across the country from Umeå in the north to Malmö in the south. This agreement will enable them to maintain their fleet in the most efficient way: they can concentrate on the operations and we take care of the rest."

ATR’s global fleet represents over 1,200 aircraft. More than a quarter of them are operated in Europe by nearly 70 airlines. As part of its policy of placing the customer at the heart of its business, ATR is able to provide 24/7 support to its operators via its brand new Customer Care Center based in Blagnac. With a warehouse in Paris, two MRO accredited partners: ATR Rheinland Air Services in Germany and Skyways Technics in Denmark, ATR has a strong network for supporting ATR aircraft in operation worldwide with optimal customer service.
