Introducing Staff, Stringers, Videographers, And People Who Make It All Work
Anyone who's ever been to Oshkosh knows that there are hundreds of events and activities as well as tens of thousands of people that descend (some quite literally) on Wittman Regional Airport in mid-summer. While we have a very hard-working and dedicated staff, ANN could not provide you with the extensive information we do without the help of some equally ... some might say more ... dedicated volunteers who give a week of their time to make sure you have the best possible coverage of the show. As we lead up to this year's edition of AirVenture, we'll be introducing you to the people that make all of that possible.
Mark Brown: Videographer
Mark was born in Fort Worth, TX and grew up in Telluride, CO where he began his passion for video and photo. In College, at TCU in Fort Worth, Mark began his own digital media business. He ran it for 4 years (video production/ photography/ web design/ etc.), and recently sold it to a notable production house in the DFW area.
Mark has been a pilot and involved in the aviation community since the age of 14 (11 years). He has been a commercial pilot for two years. Mark is also involved the antique aspect of the industry ... "my true aviation passion," he says. "I am a photographer/videographer for the Cessna 195 Club. I am also involved with various antique/War Bird communities and airshows throughout the States. I also produced and aired in a short series about traveling and flying around New Zealand," he says.
Mark and his girlfriend have flown Mark's Piper J-3 Cub all over the United States. They have taken it to 23 different states in the past year, hoping to make it to all 50 in the next year. Mark also occasionally flies Beech 18's and Cessna 195's. "Radial Taildraggers are my favorite, my goal being to afford to keep these old birds flying for the world to see and learn," he says.
