In only four months since its introduction, Aspen has obtained FAA certification for its Angle-of-Attack display for the Evolution MFD. Aspen Avionics president and CEO John Uczekaj says that AoA is one of the most important safety features available in aviation.

Piper announced a big order from FlightSafety. Piper CEO Simon Caldecott says the flight training company will take delivery of 26 new airplanes beginning later this year. One of the unique aspects on AirVenture is the opportunity for those attending to hear from and talk to some of the people who make and affect policy in Washington, D.C. On Tuesday, NTSB Chairman Christopher Hart made a presentation at Forum Pavilion 7 to talk about General Aviation issues being addressed by the board.
