MAX-VIZ, Auric Avionics Announce Offshore EVS Program

Enhanced Vision To Be Installed For Gulf Of Mexico ONG Operator

Max-Viz and Auric Avionics & Instruments of New Orleans, Louisiana, said Thursday that Max-Viz EVS-1500 systems will be installed in a Sikorsky S-76 and three Bell 407 helicopters for use in the Oil and Natural Gas (ONG) industry in the Gulf of Mexico.

After diligent technology evaluation, Auric Avionics is integrating the Max-Viz EVS-1500 into a Sikorsky S-76 and three Bell 407 ONG platforms as the launch initiative for a regional Gulf of Mexico fleet operator. “We have worked closely with Max-Viz in integrating EVS into these platforms for an operator of a fleet of ONG helicopters," said Sonny Schilleci, owner of Auric Avionics. "After assessing the needs of the operator, and what technologies would provide the most comprehensive solution, Max-Viz EVS was a standout in the ability to enhance overall situational awareness and operational flight safety for our customer. EVS was a logical addition to both ADS-B and SVT (synthetic vision technology) as a real time sensor technology that will aid our customer both day and night in offshore operations. This operator chose to add this significant technology to his already highly modified fleet of helicopters as the ultimate safety factor.”

“This has been an important step in further penetrating a domestic market segment that will significantly benefit from the inclusion of Enhanced Vision System technology," said Elliott Troutman, President and CEO for Max-Viz.
