FDC SPECIAL NOTICE.. TO REDUCE OPERATIONAL DELAYS, THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) IS IMPLEMENTING A RESERVATION PROGRAM FOR UNSCHEDULED INSTRUMENT FLIGHT RULES ARRIVALS BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1300 UTC UNTIL 0259 UTC DAILY, AT CHICAGO OHARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2004, AND UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. AT LEAST FOUR RESERVATIONS AN HOUR WILL BE AVAILABLE AND WILL BE ALLOCATED IN HALF-HOUR PERIODS. ADDITIONAL RESERVATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AS CONDITIONS WARRANT. RESERVATIONS MAY BE OBTAINED BEGINNING 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE PROPOSED ARRIVAL TIME VIA THE INTERNET AT HTTP://WWW.FLY.FAA.GOV/ECVRS; BY CALLING TOLL FREE 1-800-875-9694 WITHIN THE UNITED STATES, CANADA, AND THE CARIBBEAN; OR BY CALLING THE FAA AIRPORT RESERVATION OFFICE AT 703-904-4452. CLEARANCE BY AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A RESERVATION. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON RESERVATION PROCEDURES IS AVAILABLE ON THE FAA WEB SITE AT HTTP://WWW.FLY.FAA.GOV/ECVRS.
