One Down, One To Go... AOPA Expo Coming Up Next Week!

Heads To Hartford, CT October 4-6

As NBAA’s annual convention winds down, it’s already time for the ANN crew to make plans to attend the next industry show.

The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) will hold its annual Expo, general aviation’s premier trade show and convention, in Hartford, CT October 4-6 at the Connecticut Convention Center... and ANN will be there, in force.

So, says AOPA, will a lot of others. This is the first time AOPA Expo has been to New England... and with an average attendance of 10,000, the show is expected to bring in about $10 million to the Hartford community.

Each day of AOPA Expo will kick off with a general session at 0900, featuring Boyer and top industry leaders, followed by the opening of the exhibit hall. With more than 550 exhibits, the hall includes aircraft manufacturers, avionics, flight gear, navigation tools, flight training services, and much more.

Less than two miles from the convention center, more than 60 airplanes -- including the AOPA 2007 Catch-a-Cardinal Sweepstakes airplane, a 1977 Cessna 177 Cardinal, nearly ready to be awarded to one lucky AOPA member -- will be on display for pilots and aviation enthusiasts to see up close.

A free shuttle service, sponsored by Cessna, will transport AOPA Expo attendees between the aircraft display at Hartford-Brainard Airport and the convention center.

In addition, more than 60 hours of seminars will run throughout the three-day show. Attendees will have a variety of seminar topics to choose from, such as decision making, aircraft ownership, medical certification, interior renovations, and instrument flying.

More information on the show -- including VFR arrival procedures -- is available at the FMI link below.

We'll see you there!
