IAC Looking For New Executive Director

Stephen Kurtzahn Resigns At End Of January

If you're looking for a VERY interesting gig (and are qualified), Stephen Kurtzahn, IAC Executive Director, will be leaving the EAA/IAC team on January 31, 2024 and IAC will need a replacement.

Stephen has answered the call to return as pastor within the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Previous to coming into the IAC job, he had served in pastoral ministry for 36 years and is responding to a tremendous need for pastors in his denomination.

In a letter to the IAC Board of Directors, Stephen expressed his appreciation to them in hiring him in October of 2019. “This has been a great place to work, with many wonderful and professional people. It has indeed been a privilege to be part of this organization."

Because there is a great deal to do in order to prepare for the next IAC executive director, Stephen has elected to stay until the end of January. The IAC leadership is looking at temporary office personnel and the EAA staff are also assisting with some internal duties to support the IAC until a replacement can be found.

The IAC Board of Directors appoints the replacement and the EAA hires them through their Human Resources as an EAA employee. EAA HR will post the job internally and has posted it externally as well (see link below).
