This video is for our avionics and electronic geeks. While at the Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) held in November 2016, ANN news editor, Tom Patton, checked in with ForeFlight to get the latest update on this popular app. Tom met up with Angela Anderson, who is the Director of Marketing for ForeFlight.
Tom learned that ForeFlight is joining up with SiriusXM and he asked Anderson to give us a rundown about this new partnership. Anderson says that by joining with SiriusXM, their app is now able to provide satellite delivered weather products for in-flight use that include the benefit of no line-of-sight restrictions. She says it provides pilots with everything they need to have critical weather information while airborne.
Connectivity is the name of the game and this compact device is connected through Bluetooth, which means it’s easy to move from one aircraft to another. Now the going gets good as our video demonstrates the capabilities of this marriage of technologies. Watch the video to get the details on pricing and to see how the whole thing works.
