IMC Club Organizing Annual Chapter Leaders' Summit

First Such Event To Be Held On Monday, October 28 In San Marcos, Texas

IMC Club’s Chapter Leaders are preparing to attend their first Annual Chapter Leaders' Summit, to be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 in San Marcos, Texas. This event is free of charge and available for registration to all IMC Club Chapter leaders and Chapter associated CFII’s. The Summit is organized by the IMC Club International, Inc. and is sponsored by RedBird’s SkyPort, in San Marcos, TX, which is providing facilities.

During this one-day session, attendees will gather to discuss the IMC Club’s growth, major projects for the future and the day-to-day operations of a chapter, including ways of attracting new members. IMC Club organizers hope to receive feedback from participants on how to upgrade chapter meetings’ content by improving scenarios and presentations. An expert Guest Speaker will present “The Art of Guided Discussion in a Group Environment” during the Summit.

“It has been a very exciting time of almost explosive growth for the IMC Club. Since our first official presence at the AirVenture 2012 we have built our organization to over 70 Chapters so far, with new ones opening this year in Europe and South America. Our presence at the AirVenture 2013 in Oshkosh this month was filled with even more excitement and pilot participation. As we grow, it is important that we as chapters participate in our mutual development and exchange of ideas. Our organization belongs to all its members, and the Chapter Leaders are the members’ representatives,” said Radek Wyrzykowski, President of the IMC Club.

The IMC Club, through its nationwide network of local chapters, provides organized “hangar flying” focusing on building proficiency in instrument flying. It is the only organization of its kind. Believing that safety and proficiency are developed through education and experience, IMC Club’s monthly meetings use real world scenarios to engage members and allow them to share and build their piloting experience.
