Dassault's Team Falcon Raises Serious Cash To Battle Multiple Sclerosis

Bike Team Collects $105,000 For New Jersey MS Society

Every fall, Dassault Falcon’s "Team Falcon" cycling team embarks on a two-day, 100-mile journey to raise money and awareness for the North Jersey Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). This year, a team record of over $105,000 was raised thanks to the tireless effort of the 24 riders and the generous contributions of the team’s 65 sponsors.

Over $700,000 combined has been raised by Team Falcon riders over the past 19 rides.

Jack Young, Dassault Falcon’s Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration, is co-captain of Team Falcon and one of only two riders that have ridden in each of the 19 MS-100 Bike Tours.

"Our goal for this year’s ride was to raise over $100,000 for the MS Society," Young told ANN. "Meeting and surpassing the goal is a terrific example of what the aerospace industry can accomplish by working together for a good cause."

Riders from Honeywell, Aviall and Citigroup were also part of Team Falcon.

Earlier this year, Young received the ‘Hope Award’ from the Greater North Jersey Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at their annual Dinner of Champions. The Hope Award is awarded annually in recognition of outstanding corporate leadership in the community.

The bike tour passes through some of the most scenic and challenging areas of Northern New Jersey. Fifty three miles are covered the first day and 59 the second. This year’s ride had 590 riders take part.

Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, and is responsible for selling and supporting Falcon business jets throughout North America, South America, and the Pacific Rim countries of Asia (including China).

ANN salutes Team Falcon, for a job VERY well done.
