AD: Airbus SAS Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2018-19-07

PRODUCT: All Airbus SAS Model A300 series airplanes; Model A300 B4-600, B4-600R, and F4-600R series airplanes, and Model A300 C4- 605R Variant F airplanes (collectively called Model A300-600 series airplanes); and Model A310 series airplanes.

ACTION: Final Rule.

SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by a report of yellow hydraulic system failure, including both braking accumulators, due to failure of the parking brake operated valve (PBOV).

This AD requires replacement of a certain PBOV with a different PBOV.

DATES: This AD is effective November 13, 2018.

COST: The FAA estimates that this AD affects 147 airplanes of U.S. registry.  The cost of compliance is estimated as follows:
PBOV replacement - 6 work-hours × $85 per hour = $510. Parts - $4,764. Cost per Aircraft - $5,274
