Avfuel Expands Team For Heightened Support

Growth Follows Robust First Half Of 2018

With a 100 percent dedication to aviation, Avfuel Corporation is uniquely in-tune with what its customers require, and the manpower needed behind that support. And with a robust first half of the year —adding 90 global contract fuel locations and 18 new branded FBOs—the employee support required for customers is at an all-time high. For this reason, Avfuel expanded both its marketing and sales divisions to ensure its in-house support teams provide the level of care its customers deserve.

So far in 2018, Avfuel has added a new marketer—Emma Leising—and three new members to the Avfuel sales force: Josh Diggs, Jacob Jones and Jay Guilliat.

Leising joins the Avfuel Marketing team as a graphic designer following her studies at the University of Miami Ohio. She brings to the department fresh, highly-honed and efficient design skills to support Avfuel and its branded FBOs. Her addition puts the Avfuel Marketing team at eight full-time members.

“No other fuel supplier can offer FBOs the level of meticulous, personalized marketing support that Avfuel provides,” said Marci Ammerman, Avfuel’s vice president of marketing who has led its team for more than 30 years. “It’s one of Avfuel’s most valuable differentiators as a fuel supplier, particularly for independent FBOs that simply don’t have the resources to execute marketing initiatives that are imperative to their operational goals.”

The Avfuel marketing system gives independent FBOs the reach of a widely-recognized global brand, positioning them in front of Avfuel’s customers. Furthermore, Avfuel Marketing implements advanced processes to help FBOs compete in the modern market, particularly by utilizing more sophisticated data analysis for targeted marketing.

Diggs—as a new district manager—is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with FBO and airport customers in the mid-America region. He joined Avfuel with 20 years of customer care and management experience.

Furthermore, Avfuel’s contract fuel team has grown this year to keep up with the division’s 3,000+ global fueling locations and a customer base of 5,500 flight departments representing 20,000 aircraft. To help support such a robust program, the team welcomed Jones and Guilliat. Together, they help support Avfuel’s key accounts and coordinate resources in order to exceed Avfuel Contract Fuel customers’ expectations. “It’s crucial to match the growth of our company with the growth of our customers,” said Hirst. “Our customers choose Avfuel because of our operational solutions and personalized approach to support. That’s why it was vital to add qualified team members to our customer-facing departments.”

Those visiting the Avfuel booth at NBAA-BACE can meet with nearly 50 staff members—from the sales, marketing, executive, supply, Avsurance and Avplan teams—to discuss Avfuel’s services and FBO network.
