Fayetteville FBO Joins Million Air

Million Air officials have announced that an existing fixed-base operation (FBO) facility in Fayetteville, Ark. joined the Million Air family on Sept. 1. The addition brings the total number of FBO facilities housed under the Million Air chain to 32.

Located at Fayetteville Municipal Drake Field, Million Air Fayetteville features a 20,000-square-foot hangar, along with 5,000 square feet of office space, including a lounge, reception area, conference room and storage area. On-site amenities include crew cars, limousine service, Hertz rental cars, pilot supplies, weather and flight planning, as well as Starbucks Coffee.

Million Air and the city of Fayetteville are jointly financing a $300,000 re-imaging of the facility, which will include the re-modeling of the main terminal lobby, as well as additional office space for Million Air and other airport tenants. This project is set to begin in mid-October and will last approximately two months. Once the re-imaging is complete, Million Air will host an official grand opening celebration.

"Since the opening of Northwest Arkansas' Regional Airport and the subsequent loss of commercial aviation traffic, Fayetteville's Drake Field has sought to fill the void by increasing general aviation traffic" said Eric Risley, general manager for Million Air Fayetteville. "By aligning with Million Air, we afford the city the opportunity to revitalize the airport with general aviation. We can achieve this goal by building off of Million Air's award-winning, first-class image and commitment to customer service, which is so important to each and every aircraft owner, pilot and passenger that travels into and out of northwest Arkansas."

Roger Woolsey, chief executive officer of Million Air and native of Fayetteville, is thrilled to bring Million Air to his hometown.

"In recent years, Fayetteville has seen a tremendous growth in new industries moving to the region" Woolsey said. "As a result, I believe there will be a growing demand for general aviation to support these businesses. I look forward to the opportunity to introduce Million Air to these new customers and provide them with exceptional service and amenities for years to come."

Million Air is the third largest FBO chain in the world, providing upscale, private aviation services to individuals and corporations. Headquartered in Houston, the company operates a network of 32 FBO locations in North America and the Caribbean. The Fayetteville facility is located at 4500 S. School Avenue.
