Micco Aircraft Company, Inc. has entered into an agreement for the acquisition of the type certificate, tooling, fixtures and inventory assets for the Micro SP26 aerobatic sport aircraft.

New production facilities are being established at Frank Phillips Field in Bartlesville Oklahoma where the part 23 certified Micco SP26 will be built with new aircraft deliveries beginning in the first quarter of 2007.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce the continuation of this venerable aircraft, a culmination of five years of diligent effort to bring the Micco SP26 back to the sport aircraft market. We are extremely fortunate to locate at the former Phillips 66 facilities in Bartlesville. Additionally, we look forward to bringing the experienced former Micco team back together to once again build the SP26 known for its superior quality, performance and sport pilot appeal", said Micco President, Dewitt Beckett. Mr. Beckett was the former president of Micco Aircraft and brought the aircraft into certification and production originally in 2000 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

"We are extremely excited to offer the new Micco SP26 with full aerobatic certification and a compliment of IFR avionics and autopilot systems," said Mat Goodman, Sr. Vice President of  Micco Sales & Marketing. Mr. Goodman joined Micco having served as the former Sr. VP Sales & Marketing for Tiger Aircraft LLC.
