Flight Attendants At Hawaiian Ratify Contract

New Pact Will Be In Effect Through 2016

Flight Attendants at Hawaiian Airlines have ratified an agreement that includes increases to compensation and benefits, and enhances quality of life issues for the over 1,200 flight attendants.  The new contract will remain in place through 2016.

"Flight attendants at Hawaiian are crucial to the success of the carrier and this contract with top industry wages recognizes our contributions," said Sharon Soper, AFA President at Hawaiian. "AFA looks forward to working with Hawaiian management as we continue to grow our carrier and advance our profession."

With the assistance of the National Mediation Board's (NMB) "Facilitated Problem Solving" approach during early stages of negotiations, AFA negotiators and Hawaiian management were successful in finalizing remaining issues without direct involvement by the NMB. AFA leaders appreciate the efforts of Hawaiian management to reach an agreement.
