Investigators: MH370 Was Under Human Control At The End Of Its Flight

Says The Plane Made 'Abnormal Turns' That Could Only Have Been Performed Manually

French investigators say that the pilot of Malaysian Airlines Flight 371, which disappeared in the Indian Ocean five years ago, was in control of the airplane in its final moments.

News.com.au reports that the French team, which is the only group continuing to investigate the accident, was given access to a "considerable amount" of data from Boeing, which indicated that the Boeing 777 made "some abnormal turns" that "can only be done manually."

One theory of the accident is that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was depressed due to problems in his marriage, and deliberately crashed the airplane, fatally injuring all 239 passengers and crew on board.

France is conducting a judicial inquiry into the accident on behalf of the family of three passengers on board the MJH370, the wife and two children of French engineer Ghyslain Wattrelos.

The source who said that the plane was under manual control was not named. The source said there is nothing in the investigation to indicate that anyone other than the crew entered the cockpit of the 777.

Other theories suggest the plane was hijacked, or was possibly taken over electronically from a ground-based station.
