NTSB To Participate In AirVenture

Chair Hart And Member Weener Will Attend The Annual Gathering In Wisconsin

NTSB Chairman Christopher A. Hart (pictured), Member Earl F. Weener and NTSB aviation safety investigators will participate in EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2015, the Experimental Aircraft Association's annual fly-in convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, July 20–26.

“There is no better place in the world to experience and share the enthusiasm that so many in this country have for flying than in Oshkosh in late July,” said Chairman Hart. “That whole week gives us many opportunities to interact up close and personal with pilots, builders, designers and general aviation enthusiasts and respond to their questions.”

Chairman Hart will offer some remarks on the NTSB’s aviation safety priorities and take questions from those attending the “Meet the Chairman” forum at AirVenture at 11:30 am CT on Tuesday, July 21.

In January, the NTSB added “Prevent Loss-of-Control in General Aviation” to its Most Wanted List. Member Weener will address that topic and respond to questions from participants at 11:30 am CT on Monday, July 20.

NTSB investigators will make a total of 15 presentations on a variety of safety issues throughout the week. They will also meet convention participants at the NTSB exhibit in the International Federal Pavilion.
