3M Flight Department Joins Air Charter Safety Foundation

Company Uses Aircraft To Efficiently And Quickly Serve Its Customers

The 3M flight department is  the first Part 91 operator to join The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF). Along with 110 other companies, 3M supports the ACSF’s vision to enable on-demand air charter providers and fractional program managers to achieve the highest levels of safety in the aviation industry.

“Our mission at 3M is to provide our business travelers with world-class levels of service and safety for all of their company travel needs,” said 3M Aviation Safety Manager Thomas Preimesberger. “The ACSF standards and Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) helps ensure that safety is the cornerstone of every decision we make.”

3M, a global leader in innovation serves customers through five business groups, which increase speed and efficiency by sharing technological, manufacturing, marketing and other resources.  With over 60 years of flying, the flight department attributes the company’s outstanding safety record to “a safety culture that starts at the top, exceptional employees, and relentless training.”

We are pleased to welcome 3M to the foundation,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns. “Becoming a member of ACSF is a testament to their commitment to providing the safest aircraft and flight crews for their respective business travelers.”

Tom Preimesberger added, “We continually look for additional ways to improve our safety culture.   Participating in the ASAP program in conjunction with the ACSF, will add to 3M Aviation’s SMS program and increase our level of aviation safety.”
