LoPresti Aviation Announces New CEO

Computer Engineer RJ Siegel Tapped For Top Spot

LoPresti Aviation announced Tuesday that RJ Siegel will be taking the helm as Chief Executive Officer at the new LoPresti offices in Sebastian, Florida. RJ is a passionate pilot, a 40-year EAA member, aircraft homebuilder, educator, engineer and businessman. RJ was a member of the original MacIntosh team at Apple Computer and holds the dubious distinction of designing the first aviation iPod based, black-box system which simultaneously plays music, logs flight data, and phones home.

"LoPresti has always been known as a creative engineering company, with great "bones" said Siegel. Founded by the luminary engineer Roy LoPresti and bolstered by the addition of his aviation progeny, Curt, Jim, Roy and David LoPresti, the company serves General Aviation, from Light Sport to larger Jet Manufacturers. "Today, LoPresti is considered the Gold Standard in drag reduction, the science of aircraft efficiency. My intention," said Siegel, "is to bring our expertise to the Commercial and Military markets, kicking it up a notch. If I can add a bit of Apple passion for innovation and 'insanely great products' we will spark an infectious change for the entire industry".

"In today's business, the essentials of surviving AND thriving are: ability to focus, the knowledge of what you focus on, and the heart to stick with it. Having all this, RJ Siegel, is perfect for LoPresti's new direction," remarked Curt LoPresti, President of LoPresti Aviation. "You can't do better then the APPLE model (he originally helped to build). A long-time, close family friend and business counselor, RJ will join us in making LoPresti Aviation a company that excels in engineering design, exceptional aviation products, and extreme customer service."

In the early days of the computer revolution, manufacturers believed they were building amazing products. They were amazing, but their design had almost no regard for the customer. The company line was, 'Just do it our way', (ie: Learn DOS) and everything will work out fine. "At Apple, our core philosophy was very different," insisted RJ. "Instead of asking the customer to adapt to the product, we thought it would be a neat idea to have the product adapt to the customer. That's the thinking which gave birth to the Mac. It's exactly the thinking LoPresti will be bringing to our customers".

"LoPresti products must be innovative, work beautifully and be aesthetically seductive, " added RJ. "When you walk away, you're compelled to turn back for one more look... that's my measure of success".
