Four-Day Course Preps Pilots For Part 107 Certificate
In response to overwhelming growth in the Commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems industry, Warm Springs FAA UAS Test Range, a member of the Pan Pacific Test Range Complex (PPUTRC), will train the next generation of career-oriented drone enthusiasts to enter the commercial services market.
The four-day drone pilot training course incorporates hands-on test preparation to become an official FAA Part 107 drone pilot. Attendees will receive top-quality ground instruction and in-person instruction and test for the FAA Part 107 certificate.
"A growing number of businesses are using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS’s) to collect critical data that enhances productivity and cuts costs and they need licensed pilots who can fly drones," said Liz Stalford, Warm Springs UAS Test Range Manager. "The people who attend our training program are getting a head start in this exciting and growing industry.”
The training course includes:
- Part 107 Training - FAA certification for safe and legal operations
- Hands-on flight training – Fundamentals of piloting a drone
- UAS operational safety training - Elevated safety and operational performance skills
- Commercial enterprise course – Make money flying a drone
The course will be hosted at Warm Springs FAA UAS Test Range in Warm Springs, Oregon, January 11-15, 2018 and includes meals, training, certification and lodging at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort and Spa.
Cost to attend the course is $4,000 before Jan. 1, 2018, and $4,300 after Jan. 1.
