Cessna, Diamond, Remos To Be Among Exhibitors
On the same day news surfaced that sales of piston-engined
aircraft were down precipitously in 2008, came the announcement a
group of leading general aviation aircraft manufacturers and
aircraft dealers plan to showcase their products throughout the
southeastern US... in hopes of turning that tide around.
Dubbed the "2009 Aircraft Expos," the events are intended to
provide aircraft purchasers the chance to see and compare major
aircraft models on one day in one location. Among the aircraft
manufacturers scheduled to participate are Cessna, Daher-Socata,
Diamond, Hawker Beechcraft, Husky, Liberty, Mooney, Piper, Remos
and others.
The 2009 Expos will be held in Florida, Texas and throughout the
Southeast. The Florida Aircraft Expos begin on February 26 in St.
Petersburg – Clearwater. The Southeastern Aircraft Expos
begin on March 3 in Atlanta. The Texas Aircraft Expos begin on
March 12 in Houston. Dates and times are available at the FMI link
below.
"These Expo events give serious aircraft shoppers a chance to
compare all the latest models at an airport close to where they
live," said Fred Ahles, president of Premier Aircraft Sales, Inc.
and a participant in the events. "The Southeast and Texas Aircraft
Expo events were extremely well attended last year and we
anticipate the same level of interest this year in Florida."
"Anyone interested in owning a new airplane doesn't want to miss
an Aircraft Expo event when it comes to an airport near them,"
Ahles said.
Along with new aircraft, attendees will also have an opportunity
to talk to leading aircraft tax, insurance and training experts at
various locations. Advocate Tax Consultants, a leading aviation tax
advisement group will be holding aircraft tax seminars at most of
the Aircraft Expo events.
