AerCap Executes First Placement Of Ten 737 MAX 8s To Travel Service

Aircraft Will Support the Carrier's Fleet Renewal And Expansion

AerCap Holdings N.V. has announced that the company has executed the first placement of ten Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from its order book. Leased to Travel Service, AerCap's long-time customer and the Czech Republic's biggest airline company, the aircraft are part of AerCap's order of 100 737 MAXs placed in June 2015 with deliveries starting in 2019. AerCap is Boeing's second largest lessor customer in the 737 MAX program.

"We leased our first 737 to Travel Service in 2000," remarked AerCap President & Chief Commercial Officer Philip Scruggs. "Over the past 16 years, the airline has grown into a regional leader in the Czech Republic and Central European aviation. These 737 MAXs will renew and expand Travel Service's fleet and ensure its leadership over the next decade."

"As our long-time and reliable partner, AerCap helps us expand Travel Service's fleet and contributes to further growth of the company. This agreement stands as a testimony to the extended and successful business cooperation between our companies, which we value greatly," said Roman Vik, General Director of Travel Service. "As Travel Service is expanding and growing, we are convinced that the new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft are great for our airline. The 737 MAXs will bring the most advanced technologies and engines that provide lower fuel and operating costs, as well as a high level of passenger comfort. We are delighted that we will have a competitive advantage on the market because of the new, modern Travel Service's fleet."
