DRL Sim tryouts continue this week as this exciting competitive event continues to build momentum.

The winners from each of the weekly online tournaments will go head-to-head on April 2nd for the ultimate prize: A contract to join the 2020 DRL Allianz World Championship Season as the official DRL SIM Pilot. Current competitions continue from here through March 26th. All you have to do is register to participate by downloading the DRL SIM and entering TRYOUTS. After that, complete 3 heats on the 2020 Tryouts Track and you’re automatically qualified to join the weekly online tournaments. There’s no time cut off. If you can complete the track 3 times, you’re qualified to compete. No rest for the weary... The AMA government affairs team spent last week in Washington, DC, visiting congressional offices and attending meetings regarding remote ID and altitude restrictions. Overall, the congressional offices were receptive to AMA’s concerns, and a number of offices will be sending inquiries to address those concerns with the FAA. AMA talked with Indiana Representative, Greg Pence, who is a big supporter of AMA. AMA met with the Aviation Subcommittees and congressional members that represent AMA chartered clubs in controlled airspace that will be going through the FAA Safety Risk Management panels for flights over 400 feet. Matternet has unveiled their new Matternet Drone Station. The Matternet Station integrates with Matternet’s autonomous M2 Drone and Cloud Platform, providing an intuitive user interface for sending and receiving medical payloads, and a safe and secure drone portal for hospital campuses.
