Helicopter Online Groundschool Schedules Heliport Webinar

Accident Prevention Is The Focus Of The Online Session

Helicopter Online Groundschool has scheduled a webinar just after Labor Day titles "Heliport Accident Prevention, what you don't know can kill you. What every helicopter pilot needs to know."

Just because there is an "H" on the ground, does not necessarily mean that the "heliport, helipad, or helistop" has met the standards. For this reason, helicopter pilots need to be vigilant when landing and departing from any marked helicopter parking position, the company said in a news release.

The online session will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018, starting at 1400 EDT.

Webinar content includes:

  • Accident Statistics and Common Causes
  • Regulations & Codes Governing Heliports
  • Terminology
  • Basic elements of a properly designed Heliport
  • Forms and Records
  • How to see if your heliport exists and why it is so important to document
  • Heliport Accident Prevention

FAA WINGS credits will be issued using your webinar registration email address.

Helicopter Online Groundschool says there are about 200 slots still available for the course, which will be facilitated by Rex Alexander.
