The saga of Solberg Airport in Readington, New Jersey continues. We reported last week about 500 residents and airport supporters attended a meeting of the Readington Township Committee held for the purpose of allowing public comment and Committee deliberation on an ordinance concerning embattled Solberg Airport.
The city wants to condemn the privately owned airport and take it over under eminent domain laws. AMR Corporation and US Airways Group announced Tuesday that the airlines have settled the litigation brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, six states, and the District of Columbia challenging the merger of American Airlines and US Airways. A ceremonial Olympic torch flown to the international space station and has now returned to Earth. It arrived with the three crewmembers of Expedition 37 when they landed in Kazakhstan aboard a Soyuz spacecraft on Monday. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
