Upgraded: Nicolas Chabbert

New Vice President For Customer Services At EADS-Socata

EADS Socata has recently named Nicolas Chabbert, 38, Vice-President Customer Support. He replaces Bernard Veyssière who served this position for the last five years before joining another business unit of EADS.

Chabbert (below, right) has 15 years of aviation industry experience. Of that, 9 years were spent with Socata back in 1992, 5 of which were as Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing of Socata Aircraft Inc, its US division. After a start-up experience, he joined Mooney Aerospace Group in 2002 serving initially as Executive Vice President responsible for Sales & Marketing, then Customer Support and Engineering; he was in charge of Business Development for Mooney Airplane Company earlier last year.

"Nicolas Chabbert is known and well appreciated in the world of General Aviation. He has developed a high level of expertise with a customer caring attitude thanks to his extensive experience, particularly in sales, marketing and customer support he previously acquired with companies such as EADS Socata and Mooney Airplane." noted Jacques Lordon, Vice President General Aviation of EADS Socata.

"Nicolas will further expand the customer support initiatives launched at EADS Socata and its US-based operations, Socata Aircraft, with the objective of a continuing improvement of the performance of EADS Socata in the service field activities" Lordon added.

"I will first assess the expectations and the needs of EADS Socata's customers before implementing a new strategy, which will look to increase customer satisfaction and add new service programs", commented Chabbert. "EADS Socata is committed to provide the highest level of customer service worldwide and to continue expanding the sales of the high performance single engine turboprop TBM 700" he concluded.

Chabbert earned his airline transportation rated pilot's license and he is a certified flight instructor with extensive experience in flying the high-speed TBM700. Chabbert is a graduate of a French Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, ESLSCA in Paris with a master degree in International business.

Europe's leading General Aviation manufacturer as well as an industrial partner of major aerospace programs, EADS Socata is a wholly owned subsidiary of EADS. EADS is a global leader in aerospace, defence and related services. In 2003, EADS generated revenues of € 30.1 billion. The EADS Group includes the aircraft manufacturer Airbus, the world's largest helicopter supplier Eurocopter and the joint venture MBDA, the second largest missile producer in the global market. EADS is the major partner in the Eurofighter consortium, is the prime contractor for the Ariane launcher, develops the A400M military transport aircraft and is the largest industrial partner for the European satellite navigation system Galileo.
