Leonardo DiCaprio Loves The Environment ... And His Jet

Flew From Europe On A Private Jet To Claim Environmental Prize

That business airplane worked as advertised, but it might have exposed a bit of hypocrisy on the part of the person on board.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio last week flew on a private jet from Cannes to New York, where he was presented with an award for a $15 million donation on the part of his foundation to environmental Causes. Then he jetted immediately back to France for an AIDS awareness fundraiser.

DiCaprio has been taken to task for his use of private jets by others in the environmental community, according to a report from Fox news. Among them is Environmental analyst Robert RApier, who said that DiCaprio's lifestyle is ... contrary ... to his environmental message. Rapier said DeCaprio's actions diminish "his moral authority to lecture others on reducing their own carbon emissions."
