Exhibit Bookings Exceeding Original Expectations
The team organizing the 18th annual AERO international aviation
trade show says they expect the event will be better than ever,
with exhibitor numbers exceeding initial expectations.
Project Manager Thomas Grunewald has expressed strong confidence
in the trade show, to be held on the grounds of Messe
Friedrichshafen April 8th to the 11th. "We asked exhibitors at AERO
2007 whether they wanted an annual event," he says. "Around 330
said yes, and in 2010 we'll be playing host to some 400 companies."
There has also been a further increase in international
participation, Grunewald adds. "We're delighted that despite the
initial skepticism, particularly in the German market, a
significant proportion of the world's leading general aviation
companies will be represented."
As a highly effective marketing tool, AERO has enjoyed strong
exhibitor loyalty over the years. "Many customers see this as a
reason to attend despite the difficult economic situation,"
Grunewald continued.
In a related development, AERO claims to be the world's first
aviation trade show to include an 'e-flight' component, which will
once again be organized in conjunction with the World Directory of
Leisure Aviation. The E stands for ecological, electrical, and
evolutionary, and the component will include a program of
presentations on new technologies, and showcase the latest
developments in alternative propulsion. Glider manufacturers will
also be on hand.
As in previous years, visitors will be treated to air shows both
Saturday and Sunday. The shows will feature new aircraft, vintage
double-deckers, aerobatics performances, flying formations and
legendary historic aircraft.
