Honored With International Business Award
Ken Bohlen, executive
vice president and chief innovation officer of Textron won the 2005
International Business Award in the "Best MIS and Systems
Executive" category. This is part of the program's second annual
competition to recognize and honor top performance, integrity and
innovation in the workplace.
The award, nicknamed the "Stevies" for the Greek word "crowned,"
recognizes executives around the globe for their commitment to the
excellence and growth of their corporate enterprises.
Bohlen was selected as "Best MIS & Systems Executive" for
demonstrating outstanding leadership and vision in driving
Textron's worldwide IT strategy and architecture, while developing
innovative solutions to optimize the company's global technology
resources and infrastructure.
"Ken's vision and
commitment to Textron, the global IT staff and our customers is
evident in so many ways," said Lewis B. Campbell, Chairman,
President and CEO of Textron. "Under Ken's direction, our IT
infrastructure has become a true strategic advantage for Textron,
as well as a source of growth-enabling savings. We're very proud
that Ken's been recognized for his leadership, and for the
achievements of his highly talented team, through this emerging
competition."
Recipients of the 2005 International Business Awards were
selected from more than 600 nominations received from companies and
individuals in more than 30 countries around the globe. Other 2005
International Business Award Winners included such companies as
CIGNA Health, Cisco Systems, Oracle, Microsoft, Monsanto, and Rolls
Royce.
