Piper Aircraft has received Type Certificate approval from the FAA to incorporate the Garmin G1000 avionics suite into new single-engine Piper Archer aircraft models available in 2013. Initial fleet customers for the new Garmin G1000-equipped Piper Archers include the Florida Institute of Technology and CAE Oxford Aviation Academy.

New Feature Allows Pilots To Place Additional Weather Items On Moving Map
The recent WingX Pro 6.9.2 update added a new feature that now allows users to select and overlay additional weather items on the moving map, expanding on the options of fuel prices and METAR circles. In the past users would select weather overlay items from the Options list at the bottom of the screen, but the latest release adds a new button in the upper right of the screen with additional options.
