Boeing's new 737 MAX 7 has successfully completed its first flight. The airplane remains on schedule and now begins a comprehensive flight test program leading to certification and delivery in 2019. Piloted by Boeing Test and Evaluation Captains Jim Webb and Keith Otsuka, the airplane completed a successful 3 hour, 5-minute flight, taking off from Renton Field in Renton, WA at 10:17 a.m. Pacific on Friday, and landing at 1:22 p.m. at Seattle's Boeing Field. Winning Artwork Will Be Entered Into International Competition In April

The National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) is proud to announce the U.S. winners of the 2018 International Aviation Art Contest. At last count (June, 2016) we had 1094 members that own a total of 929 Cessna 170s. Our members organize many fly-ins around the country. An annual convention is held in different locations each year and it attracts 170s from far and wide. The 50th annual TIC170A convention will be in Cody, Wyoming on June 25-30, 2018. Call Sign The identification that ATC and a pilot use for a particular flight or aircraft. Call signs are generally a combination of the aircraft type or manufacturer and the aircraft registration for civilian planes, a combination of the airline and flight number for airline flights, and a combination of branch of service and flight number for military flights. Call signs should always be included in any communication with ATC to avoid confusion about who's talking.
