Wisk v Archer Battle Heats Up

Report: Initial Discovery Validates Wisk's Concerns

Wisk Aero is talking up their lawsuit against Archer Aviation once again. Presiding Judge Orrick reportedly stated in a hearing, Wednesday, that Wisk "has many reasons that make it suspect there is a problem here," and again acknowledged, "arguable indications of misappropriation," by Archer. Wisk claims that the most recent decision regarding preliminary relief has no bearing on the outcome of the case and does not exonerate Archer in the least, noting, "We are in the very early stages of a long legal process, with in-depth evidence-gathering now to begin, and we fully intend to hold Archer accountable at trial."

AD: Leonardo S.p.a. Helicopters

AD 2021-15-09 Prompted By Two Events Of Uncommanded Emergency Flotation System (EFS) Deployment

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Leonardo S.p.a. Model AB139 and AW139 helicopters. This AD was prompted by two events of uncommanded emergency flotation system (EFS) deployment during flight. This AD requires replacing certain partnumbered EFS control panels and prohibits installing them. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective August 27, 2021.
