The Lindbergh Foundation has announced a series of incentive prizes as a part of the upcoming 100 year anniversary of the legendary pilot's original groundbreaking flight. Opening up the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland, the Foundation announced a collaborative incentive effort with the XPRIZE Foundation, the NBAA, and Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Parker Divests Wheel & Brake Works in Preparation for Meggitt Acquisition

Parker Hannifin (Parker) announced that it has signed an agreement to divest its Aircraft Wheel Brake Division to Kaman Corporation. The move was made in accordance with a European Commission’s stipulation that Parker divest itself of the division prior to acquiring Meggitt PLC (Meggitt), the British international company specializing in components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defense, and energy industries.

Airbus has acceded to market demand to continue the manufacture of the special Aston Martin Edition of the brand’s ACH130 helicopter. The Aston Martin Edition sees the automotive marque work its sports & luxury magic on the popular VIP corporate transport. Like any limited edition worth its salt, the aircraft sold out far quicker than expected, to the point that Aston Martin and Airbus feel it’s appropriate to keep the arrangement going beyond the initial 15 helicopters made under the partnership.
