The capabilities of Diamond's Special Mission DA62 continues to expand... This time with the addition of the FlashHawk system -- a passive airborne solution aimed at precisely and instantly geolocating any terrestrial telecommunication emitter (in the 30 MHz - 3 GHz spectrum) to provide a tactical view of the situation to operators. FlashHawk can be integrated underneath an MPP airframe, providing 360° coverage around the plane in azimuth and elevation up to the horizon, allowing instant 3D geolocation without blind spots.
Premier Private Jets has acquired the Oakland Air FBO at Oakland County International Airport. The acquisition brings Premier's charter fleet to 14 and expands their capacities in the maintenance arena. The PTK facility will be rebranded Premier Jet Services. AD 2021-10-08 Requires Removing Certain Switch Units From Service
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bell Textron Canada Limited (type certificate previously held by Bell Helicopter Textron Canada Limited) Model 206L series helicopters. This AD was prompted by a manufacturing flaw that could cause low fuel level detector switch units (switch units) to hang in the high position and fail to indicate a low fuel condition. This AD requires removing certain switch units from service and prohibits installing those switch units.
