225 Future Canadian Leaders In Flight and Space Recieve One of Canada’s Largest Scholarships

The Royal Canadian Air Force Foundation has announced the recipients of its scholarships designed to support Canada’s upcoming generation of leaders in science and space. The program goals also intend to help meet Canada’s rapidly growing demand for skilled people. The scholarships set out to encourage Canadian youth, age 25 and younger, to enter the STEM field or flight training that will set the building blocks for their future careers in Aviation or Aerospace.

Lancaster Show At Fox Field Is Rescheduled for 2022

A resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic causes the air show planned for October 23 and 24 at Gen. William J. Fox Field in Lancaster to be canceled. The group detailed out the difficult decision on their website but has hope for later events, “Cancellation is the best course of action to preserve the opportunity to put on a successful event in the future.” “There was just no way at this point that we could put on a show of the caliber we’d want,” Air Show Director Dennis Dunbar said Friday after the cancellation was announced on the show’s Facebook page. “There was no one ‘golden BB.’ It was a combination of factors,” he notes.

Kristina Ivanova of Bulgaria Claims The  €2000 Prize

2021 Aeromodeling Scholarship of the FAI Aeromodelling Commission winner Kristina Ivanova of Bulgaria claims a prize of €2000 and a Spirit of Flight diploma. Kristina’s love of aeromodelling began with her father, who has watched her many successes along the way to her goal to “be part of the Bulgaria National F/B Team.” She is set to study biomedical engineering, starting a university course in Bulgaria in 2021.

On August 2, 2021, about 1458 Alaska daylight time, a Stinson 108-1 airplane, N8656K, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Sterling, Alaska.
