Piedmont Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group Inc., is announcing a Cadet Program partnership with the Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus in Salina, Kansas. The partnership provides prospective pilots at Kansas State Polytechnic with a guaranteed career path to American Airlines.
Two Pratt & Whitney Teams To Compete In Competition, $50,000 Grant To Be Awarded To Aerospace Maintenance Council
Pratt & Whitney's revolutionary Geared Turbofan (GTF) and iconic Wasp engines will be featured at the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) at the 2018 MRO Americas Conference, being held April 10-12, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. More than 72 teams from eight countries, including two Pratt & Whitney teams, one of which is comprised of women only, will put their skills and teamwork to the test across a variety of maintenance tasks.
Additional 15 Aircraft To Be Subleased From Third Parties
SAS Group has signed a firm order for 35 A320neo aircraft, and will also lease 15 additional A320neos from leasing companies. This important new strategic commitment will result in SAS becoming an all Airbus operator with the fuel-efficient A320 family for its mainline European operations, as well as for its extensive domestic services in Scandinavia.

Software Will Be Used To Monitor Their Nationwide Air Traffic Control Radio System
Northrop Grumman Corporation’s U.K.-based air traffic management (ATM) subsidiary Park Air Systems has been awarded a contract to provide the latest version of its remote control and monitoring system, MARC Server, to NAV CANADA, the Canadian civil air navigation services provider. This software will be used to monitor their nationwide air traffic control radio system from multiple sites around the country.
