Emergency AD: PW 4000 Series Engines

AD #: 2021-05-51 Prompted By An In-Flight Failure Of A 1st-Stage LPC Blade On A PW4077

An Emergency Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2021-05-51 has been sent to owners and operators of Pratt & Whitney Division (PW) PW4074, PW4074D, PW4077, PW4077D, PW4084D, PW4090, and PW4090-3 model turbofan engines. This emergency AD was prompted by the in-flight failure of a 1st-stage low-pressure compressor (LPC) blade on a PW4077 model turbofan engine resulting in an engine fire during flight. AD 2021-02-02 Requires An Inspection For Correct Installation Of The MLG Anti-Skid System Harnesses

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Saab AB, Support and Services Model SAAB 2000 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a report of inadvertently reversed connections of the outboard and inboard channel harnesses of the wheel speed transducers in the main landing gear (MLG) wheel axles. This AD requires an inspection for correct installation of the MLG anti-skid system harnesses and corrective actions if necessary, as specified in a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.
