Lockheed Martin To Acquire Astrotech Space Operations Business

Satellite Launch Services Provider Strengthens Space Systems Portfolio

Lockheed Martin has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of the Astrotech Space Operations business of Astrotech Corporation. Astrotech Space Operations is a leader in satellite launch preparation services, from final testing and fueling to encapsulation and day-of launch operations. The terms of the agreement are not material to Lockheed Martin.

ULA Launches GPS Satellite For The USAF

Second Successful Launch In Under Three Months

A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta IV rocket successfully launched the sixth Global Positioning System (GPS) IIF-6 satellite for the U.S. Air Force at 2003 EDT Friday from Space Launch Complex-37. This is ULA's fifth launch in 2014, and the 82nd successful launch since the company was formed in December 2006.
