DRL Sim tryouts continue this week as this exciting competitive event continues to build momentum. The winners from each of the weekly online tournaments will go head-to-head on April 2nd for the ultimate prize: A contract to join the 2020 DRL Allianz World Championship Season as the official DRL SIM Pilot. Current competitions continue from here through March 26th. All you have to do is register to participate by downloading the DRL SIM and entering TRYOUTS. DARPA In-Space Robotic Servicing Program Moves Forward

Space Logistics Is New Commercial Partner In The Effort

DARPA has established a new partnership with U.S. industry to jointly develop and deploy advanced robotic capabilities in space. The agency has signed an Other Transactions for Prototypes agreement with Space Logistics, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation, as its commercial partner for the Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites (RSGS) program.

NASA Employee Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Agency Putting Contingency Plans In Place At Ames Research Center in California

On Sunday, March 8, NASA received confirmation an employee at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19). The agency believes the exposure at the center has been limited, but -- out of an abundance of caution, and in consultation with Ames’ Center Director Eugene Tu, NASA Chief Health and Medical Officer Dr. J.D. Polk, and in accordance to agency response plans -- Ames Research Center is temporarily on mandatory telework status with restricted access to the center until further notice.
