Dubai Facility Expanded, New Training Center Established In Mexico City

CAE and Bombardier Aerospace announced Wednesday at EBACE that they have strengthened their long-term relationship. CAE has been designated as the Authorized Training Provider (ATP) by Bombardier for the Challenger 605 aircraft in Dubai. The companies will also be boosting training capabilities for Challenger 605 aircraft pilots and maintenance technicians at Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) in Dubai, UAE, as well as new Learjet 45 aircraft training at a future location in Toluca, Mexico, near Mexico City. Training will be offered on both Bombardier platforms beginning in the spring of 2012.

Earlier this year, training capability was implemented for Challenger 300 and Challenger 604 jet operators at the CAE training centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The first Global Vision flight deck simulator is also ready for training at the Bombardier Aircraft Training Centre in Montreal, Canada.

"CAE and Bombardier are committed to delivering the highest quality of training and a premier level of customer service to their customers in convenient locations around the world," said Leon Botteron, General Manager, Bombardier Aircraft Training. "We look forward to building on our ATP relationship with CAE and expanding our training solutions to meet the growing demands of our customer base around the world."

"Bombardier and CAE share a vision for safety and efficiency," said Jeff Roberts, CAE's Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services. "Through our extensive experience together across multiple aircraft types, we continue to refine our training programs to maximize value for pilots and technicians."

Bombardier operates two company-owned training centres for both its business and commercial aircraft in Montreal, Canada and Dallas, United States. These centres are augmented via an ATP agreement with CAE, which provides training in Burgess Hill, U.K.; Morristown, USA; Dubai, U.A.E.; and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Through this 20-year ATP agreement, CAE delivers world class training to Bombardier's customers for the following Bombardier business aircraft types: Challenger 300 and Challenger 604/605 aircraft; Global Express, Global 5000 and Global Express(i) XRS(i) aircraft; and Learjet 40/40(i) XR(i)/45/45(i) XR(i) aircraft. CAE is also building a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for the Learjet 85 aircraft, scheduled for delivery to the Bombardier training centre in Montreal in 2012.
