New Phone Drone Looking For Backers

FPQ-1 Flying Phone In The Concept Stage On Indiegogo

Leshtronix Corp., (Neil J. Lesher) has designed a unique hardware platform which enables people to experience hands-free communication, picture and video functionality using a compact, durable and foldable drone.

Apparently intended to be used primarily as a flying selfie stick, the The FPQ-1 Drone allows you to completely let go of your Smart-Phone and it will stay exactly where it is in mid-air hovering in-place.

According to the company, this is the first drone platform that does not require any external control systems. All other drones require the user to utilize their smart-phone as the “Joystick” controller for movement and aerial viewing.

It is also the first and only drone in the world that allows for hands-free communication with other people using smart devices.

The drone and its ability to take photos would be controlled by voice commands such as "Take Pic, Zoom In, Zoom Out, Take Video, Stop Video."

The project is in the "Concept" phase, meaning the project team has not yet produced a working demo for their concept. Their ability to successfully produce a prototype may be affected by product development or financial challenges.

Potential backers can get in line for an anticipated December 2021 delivery for a $99 investment. So far, only one person has chosen to do so.
