ANN Announces Our 2006 AirVenture Special Coverage LEAD
Sponsor: REV Aircraft Engines
We've spent a lot of time telling you these past few months
about how much our coverage of AirVenture 2006 is gonna ROCK... and
we've already shown you some of the neat features we've unveiled
just for this year's aeronautical bacchanal at Wittman Field. Truth
is, though... we couldn't do ANY of it without the VERY generous
support of our wonderful sponsors.
Try as we might to convince our staffers and stringers that they
really don't need three meals per day... and that sleeping outside
is a character-builder, especially when it rains (Associate Editor
note: Sleep? You're gonna let us SLEEP?)... these guys still insist
on some level of creature comforts. Like chairs.
Fortunately... ANN has some of our best friends helping us cover
the (very large) bills for these items... and we're proud to say
that some of the finest companies in the business have ponied up
some serious cash, so that we can bring YOU the most comprehensive
coverage we know how to offer.
With that, we're happy to report the LEAD sponsor for ANN's
coverage of AirVenture 2006 is... REV Aircraft Engines.
Marketed by Aircraft Engine Services, the REV-branded V220 and
V330T all-aluminum aircraft engines are set to turn the aero-world
on its ear... promising a level of refinement and sophistication
previously unknown to the piston market. These liquid-cooled
powerplants are designed to fit where you're accustomed to seeing a
550 Continental or 540 Lycoming... with weights that are maybe just
a couple pounds lighter than either one. Making the most of their
advanced features, these engines aren't firebreathers... but
instead offer smooth operation, "the first true FADEC" engine
management system and efficient operation, at a carlike 6,000
rpm... offering more than respectable power, all from a 3.1-liter
package.
Visit the REV Aircraft
Engines booth located at the
EAA AirVenture Main Aircraft Display Area 269, 275
AES invites you to stop by their booth -- or check out the
information available at the FMI link -- to learn more about what
promise to be two VERY interesting powerplants.
Aero-News asks that you please support ALL of our generous
sponsors... as they support our efforts to keep you up to date on
one of the aviation world's most exciting events.
