Display Features the Latest Kodiak Enhancements
Quest Aircraft Company is pleased to showcase two brand new Kodiaks in their booth at this year’s EAA AirVenture. The aircraft highlight the variety of options and product enhancements available for the Kodiak.
“We are nearing the delivery of the 150th Kodiak,” said Sam Hill, Quest President and CEO. “Since the aircraft was certified in 2007, we have continued to enhance the product, both in terms of standard equipment and additional options, to better serve our customers and the types of missions they fly.”Some of the newer product enhancements include the integration of the Garmin GFC 700 autopilot as standard equipment on all new Kodiaks and certification of the Summit interior. In addition, Quest redesigned the Kodiak’s exterior lighting for better endurance and visibility, upgraded the fuel flow transducer and increased the landing weight of the Kodiak to 7,225 lbs.
“With three interior options, ranging from the base Tundra interior to the Summit Executive interior and a wide variety of standard features and available options, customers can use their Kodiak as a rugged workhorse or a comfortable passenger transport for business or personal use, added Hill.
The Kodiaks on display include a Timberline-outfitted aircraft, which also includes air conditioning and TKS Ice Protection. The other Kodiak in the Quest booth has a Summit Executive interior package and features several avionics options including the WX 500/GTS 800 package, GDL69AAM Data link and the 406 ELT upgrade. The aircraft is also equipped with the optional TKS tank in cargo pod installation. The Quest-designed system, which moves the TKS tank to the forward section of the cargo pod from the cockpit, is available on new Kodiaks and can be retrofitted for Kodiaks in the field. In addition to the Quest booth, two Kodiaks on amphibious floats are on display on the show grounds.
